From the French border in the north to the Straights of Gibraltar in the south, the bulls are never far away. When you get close to one you'll see they are flat, made from sheet metal and stand about 5o feet high.
I love these bulls, to me they are the essential Spain. The photograph above was taken travelling through the great desert area between Toledo and Madrid.

I've never counted them but there are hundreds of these bulls throughout Spain.
