Who could live in this dump?

My studio in Spain. Photograph by Tim IrvingI ask you, what sort of person could live like this?
I'm ashamed to admit that it's me, and this junk sits in one corner of my studio in Spain. I'll get around to showing you the other 3 corners eventually.

Why is it such a mess? I have no idea.
How long will it stay a mess? Until I die and someone cleans it up.
What are the objects on the chest?

3 juggling balls
A model boat
Coffee grinder
Strange tin, thing
Vase
Urn
Brush holder with brushes
2 puppets
Bottle of wood polish
Headphones
A cable ?
Minidisk player
CD player
Sketch book
Single dead battery
Pencil
Knife
Instructions on how to get a flat stomach
Tin box that contains oil paints
Small bottle of something
2 cigar boxes
Easel
5 picture frames
Tracing paper
Sheet of glass
Wooden clothes peg
Envelope
Ukulele

  2. The "dump" is seriously enhanced by the BRILLANT;-) framed photograph on the wall.

  3. At first glance it looked like elegant disarray, just what one would expect from an artist. You throw a bunch of junk on a beautiful chest with a hot photo on the wall, and somehow it works. (your itemized list is hilarious though. . . it's so human and I'll bet any of us could send an equally bizarre list from our own dusty corners).
