
The picture is of a French desert pear that I bought on Saturday. I photographed it then ate it.
The red sealing wax is to slow the effect of dehydration which conserves the fruit, it also looks good.

Ah, I've just learned something new. That IS a very pretty way to conserve a pear. I must try it for display this fall.
