A house in the mountains

Yesterday's blog about the Alpujarras in Spain inspired me to dig out this set of photographs of a house in the Sierra Nevadas, about 5 miles from Orgiva.

Because many of the houses are built on the sides of mountains or in villages with steep hills, they don't go straight up, they tend to go up and across. So a lot of the rooms over-lap other peoples houses. In this house there are two rooms on the ground floor and three rooms on the first floor. Two of the rooms on the first floor are above a neighbours bedroom and bathroom. It must be a nightmare to survey.
