The turning point came when a friend suggested that I should make an altar in my office to display my religious paraphernalia. I thought the idea was absurd, but it shamed me into action.
I've been a compulsive buyer of whatever takes my fancy for longer than I care to remember. I've shopped around the world and bought amazing things (IMHO), from dozens of countries. From naughty postcards to objet d'art, it's all in front of me. Now I need a change.
I'm starting by clearing the space around my desk, that's the photograph above. I'm being totally brutal, I've lived with these gods, dead world leaders, miniature typewriters and old postcards for too long, it's someone else's turn to care for them. You may wonder what will take the place of my stuff? The answer is more, but different stuff. I have a lot of travelling to do and a lot more trinkets to collect!
I've created an Etsy shop called Spanish Angels to sell my bits and bobs and I'll report the progress here as I add items. If you tune into the shop on a regular basis you'll see my treasures disappear from my life.

Amongst the items I'm listing today, I'm saying goodbye to world famous belly dancer "Kabyle", on an early 20th century postcard, she's been smiling at me for over twenty years. The card is French but I bought it in Tunisia, North Africa. I think I may miss her!
