Radio France - the world's greatest radio

Radio FranceThe best radio station in the world!

I first heard Radio France many years ago when I lived in England. On certain days when the wind was blowing in the right direction we could receive continental radio from across the English Channel, then it would fade away again and we'd be left with the BBC.

In my youth Radio France was considered very exotic, like Gauloises cigarettes and the films of Francois Truffaut.

Now Radio France is available all over the world via the internet. As I'm writing this, it is my background music.

Radio France has discreet presenters and the absolute minimum in 'verbal interruptions', with an eclectic playlist. A typical selection involves Cameroonian singer Sally Nyolo, followed by Jethro Tull, the theme from The Godfather, then Serge Gainsbourg.

I urge you to listen - click this link or click on the image above, then click the play (écouter), button.
