My Spanish garden

Lavender. Photograph by Tim IrvingI will confess that I'm not a gardener. I enjoy the fruits of the garden but my garden is the product of someone more talented than me, who chooses to remain anonymous.

The summer is with us now, it's very hot this morning. As I look out into the garden I see it has reached it most colourful, in fact it has gone berserk.

The bougainvillea, which is normally spindly, weak and covered in insects, looks like it's completed a course in assertiveness. The lavender has also gained confidence and is spreading across paths and walls, attracting so many bees the garden is buzzing.
