These are no ordinary toms, these have an equisite flavour and a scent that takes you back to your childhood. For those of you who have never eaten tomatoes from southern europe, I feel sorry for you because the taste of a perfect tomatoe is one of lifes great pleasures.
Tomatoes are a major part of the mediterranean diet but over the past 20 years the quality has dropped, due to intensive growing under glass and chemical feeding which produces tomatoes all year around with a uniformed shape and size, yuck!
But by avoiding large supermarkets and shopping locally you can still buy wonderful produce, including tomatoes.
Look at these! Organically grown heart tomatoes. Beautiful to behold and delicious to eat.
