My trip to Suffolk

I've got a busy day today!
I have to go to the post office this morning to post the photographs you keep buying. This is my favourite chore of the day as it involves stopping for coffee at La Mesquite. I'll make a detour on the way home and pay the dentist the 20 euros I owe her from yesterday. I'll also point at my mouth and say "muy bien".

When I return home I have to pack a few items for my trip to the UK, then have lunch. I plan to leave the house at 3pm, so I have to make sure the cat is in the house and lock all the doors and windows so he can't escape. At 2.30 I'll attempt to get him in his travelling box, I'll wrap him in a towel then bundle him in, head first.

At 4pm I'll meet the dog groomer who is going to look after my cat and dog. To save time we are meeting in a car park on the coast and I'll transfer the animals to her car. Eddie the dog is about 8 years old, he's used to this. Eddie's like an old jail bird who does his time quietly, a little like Morgan Freeman. The cat (Chico), never accepts his fate, he's not guilty and won't go quietly. In human terms, think of Chico as Phil Specter, anything can happen! These two are great travelling companions, but the change over is a tense time.

I should arrive at the airport at 6pm and walk straight through to departures. I've checked in on-line, so what could possibly go wrong. I'll be in London by midnight tonight and tomorrow I'm in Suffolk where I'll be staying until Monday.

I'll return to Spain and blogging on Tuesday with a bag of photographs and hopefully a dog and a cat. Have a great weekend and I'll see you next week.

  2. Beautiful pic, as usual. So glad you had time to stop by the post office since I shall personally benefit from that particular errand:) Coffee at La Mesquite sounds like heaven (I'm hitting the 2:47 p.m. afternoon slump here in California). Oh, poor Chico! Leaving my two dogs behind is the WORST part of a journey for me:( Looking forward to blog posts full of English-ness next week. Happy Trails.
